Reward systems are NOT for everyone, and that's ok!

We created this product to be used in a team setting to reinforce and reward positive behaviours and create accountability for team behaviour - in the classroom OR at home. If you choose to reward individual behaviours, that's your choice - YOU ultimately know your children and the best way to implement systems for them.

Here are some considerations:

• This product is NOT recommended to be used as a punishment e.g. removing tokens for bad behaviour. Set a goal and work towards filling the jar as a group, to reach a collective reward.
• Be mindful of inclusivity amongst all children! Children who are not given an opportunity to add tokens to the jar may develop anxious feelings towards this system over time and shy away from it. This is why we suggest rewarding GROUP behaviour, and alternating between children when placing a token in the jar, so that everyone feels included in the team.
• Competitive behaviour - the jar is not recommended to create competition amongst children. How we behave as individuals impacts our home and classroom settings as a group (and as adults, we know that this carries into the rest of our lives). E.g. if you choose to reward a token for cleaning up the play space, try encouraging EVERYONE to be involved in cleaning the toys in order to successfully receive a token in the jar ( i.e. accountability for each other's actions!)

If you choose to customise these jars for your child specifically, rather than as a family, that is completely your choice.

YOU ultimately know your children, so if you feel comfortable having a jar per child without it causing competitive behaviour, then go for it!

If this product isn't for you, or you feel it is not a positive tool - no stress. Rewards systems don't suit all children, and that's perfectly ok.

REMINDER: this is NOT a toy! Toddlers or children who are likely to put objects into their mouths should not handle tokens alone or unsupervised - however, toddlers can learn good behaviour from older siblings so let them get involved in group rewards if you are comfortable!

This product is regarded as customised, as you are selecting your own colour combination and personalised name. It is therefore non-refundable for change of mind. Please refer to our Refund Policy for more information.

While acrylic is a long lasting material, it can be fragile and scratch easily if not cared for properly.

Avoid bumps against other objects as it may cause your item to chip or break.

If your product needs to be cleaned to remove dust, we recommend using a damp microfibre cloth to gently wipe the acrylic. Do not use harsh chemicals or bristles as it can cause acrylic to disfigure, cloud, or change colour. Do not submerge in water as it may impact the adhesive between layers.
